A Prophetic Vision Poem by MSI ISS

A Prophetic Vision

Rating: 5.0

Striding by the path
Mystified by conflicting sensations
Some footprints leaving behind
And some footprints yet to come….

Looking upon the ones,
I yet to make…
Leaving behind the bygones,
The relics of a departed time….

An appearance evolving,
The impressions yet to come….
Appearance of conformity,
Will it survive the passage of time?

Still looking ahead
Path no longer in existence…
With me lie the imaginative sentiments
The loyalty of unreason

Perplexed by many conflicting situations
Statements filled with bewilderment
Painful scars wrapped in the heart
Feelings crumble when doubt appears.

Escaping from these sentiments
Into peace of my conscience….
Sense of virtue and morality
The pride possession of my own self….

Striding by the path all along…
Some footprints gone past
Some yet to come…..

a very very intense poem, so beautifully mused and so perfectly composed, the poem reveals less and and conceals more of the experience of the agonised odessy, the footprints are a wonderful reminder of a bygone time so beautifully erecorded by a sensitive poet like you,

Loved your poem, enjoyed the read. We learn from the past, live in the present and hope for an even better future.--Melvina--

Very true, Sangeeta... As Eckhart Tolle says, having learned from Ramana Maharshi - we only have the present moment to live in...'past' and 'future' are there...
