A Real Fairytale

You, my sweetheart, lay pristinely
with the most dazzling sparkle
in those pearly gates of yours
that glow brightly; yet not from the shine
of the sun, but deriving from, the ever-present
trans-inducing love-stricken gaze
that has graced the both of us. In addition
to our gazes of sure elegance, we acutely
mirror one another bewitchingly –
not solely outward, yet inward – festively jubilant;
never-going-to-burn-out true love’s flame,
every day past and forthcoming will forevermore
resemble the illusive happy-ever-after-fairytale ending
that our hearts felt way back when we first locked
our souls with a non-stopping twinkle.
For no longer I will be on all fours
begging mystical supernatural beings to bring
me a love that I desire for ages;
wherever our home-sweet-home
is, for us it will be a castle with a non-disappearing
atmosphere will not reach a moment of such atrociousness
of a horrific thought of love decreasing.
I am gratefully in a lifetime debt to destiny
for it spectacularly entangling
everything of mine with my Cinderella.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
