A Right Poem by Clara Diskley

A Right

I want to be respected and heard
Don't want to be left here without having
a word
Someday I hope I'll have some sort of say,
not sure how long it'll take
Never wanted to rue because I can't go back
That's why I don't want to regret those days
Those bitter memories wishing I wasn't restrained
I have a right and I want to have independence
