A Rose, A Moon, And You In September Poem by Joyce Hemsley

A Rose, A Moon, And You In September

A Rose:
More than three seasons I have waited
To see, once again, my autumn rose.
And suddenly she is blossoming
And there in the breeze, she glows.
God sent a miracle of delight when
He gave life to that crimson rose.

A Moon:
Many hours without end I have waited
To admire once again, a harvest moon.
And suddenly, moonlight is beaming
With the earth and the sky - in tune.
God sent a natural lantern of light when
He presented that autumn moon.

And You:
It seems like a year I have waited
To hear once again, your musical score.
Suddenly the whole world is smiling
I hear your wonderful voice once more.
God sent the gift of Romance one night
With heavenly magical dreams of yore.
