A Rose Covered Cross Poem by Ray William Roldan

A Rose Covered Cross

It ended with a rose covered cross
on the side of a lonesome road,
A family grieves a daughter lost
their hearts left quiet and cold!

They marked the spot
where her soul did leap,
Where the cord was cut
where death did creep!

I wonder if she lingers
behind a worn wooden door,
in a lonely waiting room
where angels pace the floor!

Listening for the last few words
that bid her soul goodbye,
but then reaching for the attention
of another passerbye!
