A Sacred Meeting In The Universe Poem by Uriah Hamilton

A Sacred Meeting In The Universe

Rating: 4.5

Drinking Friday night spirit myth,
Dreaming of poetic youth,
Where you can dance with magical breath,
Cherish every moment that follows next,
Musical escapades in the moonlight,
Burning the midnight oil,
Joyous sleeplessness,
We embrace the imagination,
We live in fluid fantasies of happiness.

You have my phone number now,
I’ll obtain yours at least by the next lifetime,
Nikki, we may be lovers yet!

persuaverance is always useful too. especially if one believes in reincarnation. the only trouble is, Uriah, is what happens if Nikki changes her phone number in the next lifetime? anyhow...another warm, unpretentious offering...and Nikki, if you're reading this, cut the guy a break! He cares enough to write poetry about you...that's a good start : -)

Keep trying you'll get her...whether in this lifetime or the next you'll get her. Good poem!

I liked this one. I love the change in tone in the second stanza....The first stanza brought out a bunch of great images. Great writing!

What is more sacred than desire? This is just so fine - truly admirable. I especially admired the 'breath' and the breadth of feeling. A very eloquent and evocative write.

Brilliant! I thought the ending made it kind of funny, too. Well done.
