A Sacrilege Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

A Sacrilege

Rating: 4.0

Are people religious because
they’re good?

Or good, because they’re
religious?

The question remains, its
verdict unclaimed

The wrong answer deemed,
- - sacrilegious

Buddhism looks at it differently. Lord Buddha saw through his extra ordinary wisdom the suffering nature of life and the salvation lies on the commitment by each individual to noble eight fold path of practice. If one commits to this, invariably he/she can not be bad. T Yours is inspirational and thought provoking. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
