A Sad Event Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Sad Event

A reverberating rush of 'Oh no! ' fills the air
It is a perplexing nerve bending event…
It whirls composure severely awry
sinking into to despair… a weeping lament

Just when everything was looking fine;
the entire group of ten were shaped uniformly...
perfectly contoured and visually appealing
Then an unforeseen disaster occurred randomly

Such sorrow now prevails with pangs of regret
What could have been done to prevent tragedy…
Such a loss demands a search for calmness
Acceptance must rule…there is no remedy

Reluctantly adjustments must be made...
I look for a nail file as I sadly mourn
Time is the only cure that will calm my
disposition… after a thumbnail is torn
