A Sanctuary For My Heart Poem by Debora Soramaki

A Sanctuary For My Heart

Rating: 4.5

As we live in this cruel cruel world
It takes a strong soul to survive
With ups and downs all in a twirl
I wonder why I'm still alive.
Suppose there is a place to hide,
To feel secure with no more fear
And always have you by my side
Speaking the words I long to hear.
But how can I reach you
When you're so far away,
Sailing the ocean blue night and day?
Perhaps the wind is calling me
To leave the shore and sail ahead.
There is where I'll always be,
No more living life in dread.
I'll love you for all eternity,
In your arms my heart's protected
As two become one reality
Never more our hearts dejected.
