A Sated Mind. Poem by Fay Slimm

A Sated Mind.

Rating: 5.0

At times a lull creeps over liveliness
And morose barreness engulfs my mind.
A no-thought blanket erodes all finesse
Or elegance in careful phrasing, binds
This poet, and chokes every bit of stylish
Verse. Then it is the weary mind takes on
It's own control, rolls out reams by the mile
Of wasted time in empty worded pun
Or rhyme, on piles of paper due for bin
This state I find I'm in with 300th down.
Feeling cloyed with surfeit verses within
Short space has me sated. No muse now around.

To all P.H. friends - - thank you for your support
and kind comments on my work. I will be taking
a short break from posting, but hope to be back.

Of this news my heart grieves with great sorrow For I know my Fay would not be here on the 'morrow My eyes quickly fill with tears and saturate. To have known my Fay, One of the great- est poets on this PH. From strangers to friends She had my hand, made a better poet! and a better man. Now all I can do, is wait and pray That God would speed up the day Of the return of FAY, my dear dear friend And this time, she'll never go away And our meeting would never end. I'll miss you!

I have been in that place where no inspiration will come. but don't despair. There will be plenty more to write about. You have been so very prolific and consistently pleasing with your contributions, maybe it's just time to sit back and take a breather? I have a feeling you'll be back sooner than you think. Love Kev.

Oh...muse, where have i lost you, are you hiding in a song? oh...muse, are you hiding in a uncreased Book! silly muse are you hiding in that tall glass of wine! mind is racing so where do you look, darken sky, you eyes look.... Lonely orb surrounded by ten thousand charms, Nigh dreams calling you once again, Darkness falls and calms your mind around and around you dance with a old friend, and you laugh, for your muse has been by your side the whole time... You are the real deal! You have hundred more to go for I; m sure of this without a doubt Hugsss kiss' and the warmest wishes! Randy~*~

Enjoy your break. Inspiration comes and goes, and the catalyst is often unknown. I enjoy your work a great deal. I try to write myself out of de-motivation with comedy. Hurry Back, I love the scenes that you paint Steve
