A Scar

Unable to be seen
This scar is deep
It runs so deep
That you can't hide it
This scar you have
Will never heal
No matter what you try
You're stuck for life
This scar is death
An inescapable event
No matter if it's yours
A family members, or
Someone that was to
become a family member
This scar leads to death
It affects everyone
Around you
Until you create a
New scar
With your own death
that is your scar

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
