A Sea Of Green Poem by Heather Burns

A Sea Of Green

Have you ever stood on a
summer day?
viewing the grass across
the way

Blowing in the noonday
breeze
very inviting so at ease

Looking lovely so serene
almost like a sea of green

Stepping across to simply
see
an illusion can it be?

Disappointed arriving there
ragweeds growing everywhere

Stepping back knowing what
you've seen
surrounded by a sea of green.

Why do you write your second name in the lower case? Is it a pun?
