A Silent Prayer Poem by Soumita Sarkar

A Silent Prayer

Rating: 4.3

I am all smiles
for this outer world
When I have pains
in for miles and miles

I see through
my words and deeds
For they are true
bright and forthright
I have no ego to feed
I have taken charge
of my fate with my acts

Yet many reasons
That lie beyond
my comprehension
potent to make
me dull and sullen

Lord...My dear Lord!
My defeat surpass my reach
Beyond my recognizable power
Above all humanly feat
Only YOU have the power
to answer my silent prayer

A heart touching poem from an innocent soul who says it in complete humility- I have no ego to feed. Amazing piece of poetry. Thanks.
