Dear God, let me be healthy and sane,

Let me not dement to forget my name,

Let me always relish moments of happiness,

Let me always know you are there to bless! !

Let me see a world of joy in a child’s smile,

Let me walk with the youth a never tiring mile,

Let me hold in reverence hands that are old,

Let me not waste my time for diamonds and gold.

There’s a world of beauty in simplicity,

A world of joy in fostering humility,

Simple truths people realize but ignore

Through life’s storms, they sail you ashore.
