A Single Thread? Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

A Single Thread?

Recalcitrant, sitting back in a chair, looking
out at landscapes of nature, responding within
to it's beautiful auras and fidelity in life.

Serene and timid, shyly wondering if there is
a way to bring peace into this world without
having to go to war.

Is there a single thread that can be pulled in
order for people to learn to get along somehow
with no racism, hatred or prejudice?

What is the sole thread that ties these things
to human beings, how do we destroy and get rid
of them without destroying humanity?
