A Slice Of Life Poem by Liilia Talts Morrison

A Slice Of Life

Each moment is a slice of life
Some pleasant some quite flawed
When young, you are too fast to feel
The blessed touch of God

When old, you are too sad to grasp
The Master's offered love
Instead you look on pavement stains
While help waits from above

Look up, bright youth, look to the stars
You won't regret the tour
Let lovers, jobs and travel plans
With heaven's bonds insure

Old man, lift up your face and watch
Clouds dancing in the blue
That simple effort cannot fail
To raise and carry you.
