A Small Visit. Poem by Valerie Chase

A Small Visit.

I think I want to get away.
I think I'd love to stay.

But I can't open my mouth,
once I know you are going south.

Cause you make me so weak,
There is nothing left to speak.

I should close my eyes,
I think I will silently cry.

I'll just have to say goodbye again,
And my god, how I am sick of this.

I don't want to turn into somebody else.
I want to just stay locked in this house.

Never before have I seen you so beautiful
In all your glory -

Never before have I see you look at me this way.
