When I am hurt and full of pain,
And when I think I have nothing to gain,
To cheer me up when my heart aches,
A smile from you is all it takes,

And when I feel I'm filled with grief,
From all the lies and disbelief,
There's nothing wrong with facing fear,
A smile from you when you are near,

When I'm feeling negative,
I take advice that my friends give,
Co'z friends are there when I am sad,
A smile from you is not that bad,

If at times I'm down and blue,
Every wish made not come true,
I'll wait awhile and hear the sound,
A smile from you is just around,

And after all's been said and done,
New happiness has just begun,
I focus my thoughts and then believe,
A smile from you will never leave…
