A Sonnet Of Insanity (Sonnet #1) Poem by Mathew Lewis

A Sonnet Of Insanity (Sonnet #1)

Rating: 3.4

A moment of insanity,
Stupidity and savagery,
A move against humanity
And all that is reality.

All that's left is gravity,
Maybe some profanity,
All my life a cavity,
A trip down the imaginary,

All of this perplexity
Brought on by society,
Nought to do but quietly
Reclude into sobriety.

And maybe someday there will be
A clearer path for me to see.

Nice rhyme scheme. You deserve major props for all of that. Loved the mood of the poem. Loved it. Truly, I did.
