A Sound Of Thunder Poem by Ragy Sandid

A Sound Of Thunder

Rating: 5.0

A slam of the door
A stroke of the hair
A sound of thunder
Is everywhere

A creak on the stair
A kindness in a stare
A dare to dare
A sound of thunder
Is everywhere

A minute to spare
An hour to care
A year to fare
A worry to scare
A sound of thunder
Is everywhere

A lot here a little there
Trickles of grey in his hair
A conversation of flare
A calming down and repair
A calmer sound of thunder
Is everywhere

A smile to share
A slower pace to compare
There’s rain everywhere

Then the sun’s shone bare
He’s no longer there
Only in my memory do I bear
My father’s sound of thunder
Only my ears
Can pick the echoes from the air.
