On a quiet day in March
A special delivery was made
The people were all smiles
As the music played
The angels flew about
As happiness filled the air
Everyone looked down
At the baby laying there
People said, she's precious
As she laid in their arms
There job was to protect her
From any and all harm
As the years passed
She grew up very fast
Like all the other children
Her childhood didn't last
I didn't know her back then
But how I wish I had
I know that with her
Life would not have been sad
But now that I do know her
I know I'm the fortunate one
You see, I hope to love her
Until my life is done
