A Special Place To Be Poem by Alvin Schaut

A Special Place To Be

Once again, the time of year.
Springs return, with it warm rains.
New growth, though small and fragile, bring forth flowers, soon to appear

A casual walk through a field or among the trees.
The scent of flowers fill the air.
To stimulate one's senses.
Visits by butterflies and bees.
Beauty to behold, wonders to be seen.

In time, flowers, petals, seeds, fall to the ground.
Renew for next years growth.
Year after year, never ending.
There for everyone to enjoy.

A walk through a field or among the trees.
For it comes but once a year.
Wonders to behold, wonders to be seen.
Always has a special place in my heart.
For it is a special place to be.
