I like Byrons poem, But I found this version on the net written by an Author Kevin Brian Wright. This one is absolutely beautiful.
The light of God shined upon me, formless, in crowning grace
Stealthly, his message was brought forth to me
and leaned upon my ear, in every whispered word.
When the starry night shut the door on day
deep sleep settles upon the eyes of dawn
fear commands my bones to shudder, rich in marrow
My hair stood upon my flesh
There a spirit rose before my eyes
a voice sounded, so calm and still
In terms with me, to be at peace
Are mortals formed from the image of God?
or will man pass without ever knowing his divine light. |

Very unique, he seems frightened of spirits maybe even intiminated. I wonder about this. Very creative and excellent imagery. |
