A Story Poem by Leanne Eastwood

A Story

Rating: 5.0

Here is a story of what I once did,
When the world jumped in a jar and shut the lid,
Was there air holes you ask, there was none!
Walking around not noticing what they done,
So I went for a very long walk one day,
I would soon here what people would say,
“Lets carry on as normal, and make it worse”
I shred a little tear as people forgot about the curse,
On this walk I got to my destination,
I saw the world, walking the land and sailing the ocean,
As I stood at the edge of the world, I could see,
This isn’t it, I have to further my destiny,
So then I walked on and on not knowing where to go,
I skipped, I ran whatever was in my flow,
One night-my last, I looked up to a beautiful star,
Then, my life ended all by a car.
