A Story Ended In Vain Poem by Arch Abraham

A Story Ended In Vain

Rating: 5.0

For the first time in my life I drowned dreaming,
In days gone by I woke up choking,
Trying to piece the nightmare together felt frightening,
Clueless yet guessing, it left my mind racing.

However trivial, I know that we once were,
In words to express, something more than simply mere,
Truth be told, it haunts me even in here,
Struggling to flee, stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Too good was it to be true,
As I thought through and through,
Too much for the invisible glue,
And the fact it made me so blue.

Nothing lasts longer than forever,
Except feelings in a realm of an endless river,
Treasuring the memories of a one who was almost dear,
Endurance becomes sweetly painful, like the caress of that of a feather.

Moonlight shines dull, when the sun is in reign,
Emotions run wild, when felt without pain,
My heart sank deep, when tears flooded my veins,
In a hastened start of life, a story ended in vain.
