A Story Of Faithful Love Poem by Flavia Richardson

A Story Of Faithful Love

Childish eyes looking through me
As if naked
Warm hotel room filled with your presence
Your smell on the pillows
Your arms and the whole of me

Childish wanting eyes in front of mine
Together, closer and closer, just skin
Opened buttons and clothes falling hard
Spreading across the floor

Childish demanding eyes on top of me
Kisses, sweet damned kisses, on my arms and legs
Mending a unique version of us

Childish blue eyes staring into the night
Into the empty dark night where
Two lovers
And
Their
Love
Lived in agony
For the price of love
Had to be paid

Sitting face to face
On a hotel pillow
As the clock timed out of control

On a dark night
