A summer day

Beach was hot
my palms were dry
my eyes are as wet as a rainy sky
my eyelids would close
and my heart would open
the beach scent awoken ancient feelings
feelings of belonging and love
but i know deep down
that the feelings were not real
they did not come from a profound source
maybe its just the chemicals in my brain messing with my feelings
or my heart playing tricks on me

I love the 'my eyelids would close, and my heart would open' lines. This is a really good poem, but maybe the my heart playing tricks on me ending could be more. To me it just doesn't feel, final. The poem is sooo good though, I read the Void poem, it seems as though you have a lot of feelings that you'll evoke more and more the longer you write. I saw your comment, and thought I should check out your poems, I love the Idea and feel of this poem, but the end doesn't flow very well in my opinion, but other than that, IT IS WONDERFUL, and I would really appreciate it if you would check out my poems in return! (Report) Reply

    Dear Seif Hajri,
I'm beginning to read your poems after seeing your comment. So far I've only read Feelings, and A summer day. So far, I like your style, but that is all I can say for now. I have a question though, is it on purpose or a mistake that the two first lines begin with capital letters, but the other lines do not?
Just a thought, since I know something like that Could Be on purpose, I hope to be a poet as well. Perhaps we can communicate later on this.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Michael Nemo (Report) Reply
