A Sweet Little Lady Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Sweet Little Lady

Rating: 5.0

She was the sweetest little lady
And she loved her family so
We dressed her in her sweaters
Took her everywhere we’d go

I brushed her hair with care
Each and every day
She would smile and grin at me
In her adorable winning way

For she was my Poodle, Gigi
And I loved her so very much
If she needed discipline at all
I used a very gentle touch

But the day when she became sick
It nearly broke my heart
It wasn’t fair to leave her here
So Gigi and I sadly had to part

But I will never forget this lady
Who God let me have for awhile
Perhaps I’ll see her once again
I would love to see her smile!

Really touching...my eyes are struggling to hold back the tears... 'It wasn’t fair to leave her here So Gigi and I sadly had to part' I like pets very much but my mom doesn't allow me for very reason that she can't see them in pain. The following lines are my favourite.. 'If she needed discipline at all I used a very gentle touch' Well rendered....10
