A Sword Story Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

A Sword Story

A polished sword glittering in night
Studded with costly jewels
Handles which made up of convenience
But feels a sword after all a sword always
The purpose of sword in wars there shown
In today's world it is gone for ever
The speedy trigger happy guns
Makes the war and maximum damage to humans
Life has no value before triggering
Life has no worth of life itself
Where death is accomplished by the fire power
Boasting of the militia's capability
The big question peace we forgets.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Tirupathi Chandrupatla 20 March 2015

Weapons are becoming more and more dangerous and extremely destructive. Sword is more destructive than a cudgel and so on. Your poem brings it out beautifully. Thank you.
