A Thousand Days Poem by Cee Bea

A Thousand Days

It felt like a thousand days
till sunday.

Monday was of no consequence
..but felt of lace and patent leather.

Tuesday was green and chilled
turning gently, she bowed at
Wednesday's approach
Ever so gracious
she became my afternoon dream

Thursday and Friday convoluted
towards the back, speaking in graduated tone's
with finite extensions

Saturday, held us all together
gracious of mind and soul

It is the day,
that all that was separated
came together

even when it felt like
a thousand days till sunday
