A Thousand Feet Poem by Kailey Marie Abbott

A Thousand Feet

If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I wouldn't do anything but fall
Trying to enjoy the ride
If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I would see all of the people I meet
I would see my friends
But the ride goes to fast
And I fall further
My friends that I have become strangers, faded memories
As I see them disappear above me
If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I would see all the good times that I had
But the ride goes to fast
And I fall further
Events that I held dear to my heart
Get lost in the clouds
As the disappear above me
If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I’d try to enjoy the ride
But it goes to fast
And I forget about all the things above me
And worry about the things below me
If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I’d try to enjoy the ride
And try to stop and look around the next time it goes to fast
If you dropped me from a thousand feet
I wouldn’t do anything but fall
