A Tightrope Walker Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

A Tightrope Walker

Rating: 5.0

When I take stock of my gains
And the losses that I had sustained
I find myself as a precarious tightrope walker
With a wobbling pole in my hand.

In life, one plus one may not add up to two
Nor one minus one be necessarily be a zero
But in this fine balancing act
One needs to plough a lonely furrow.

So like a tightrope walker performing his trick
Savouring thrill and yet courting risks
I venture out with measured steps
From the present into the unpredictable future.

Beautiful analogy! Yes, life is a tight rope walk for everybody! Each step counts....! If we can savour the thrill and count the risks, there is no serious problem and we can face life with undying enthusiasm... This beautiful write deserves a10

A beautiful poem with great message. Yes, we have to risk, there is thrill in it too but calculating the risk too is most important from our present to future though unpredictable. But some calculation we have to take. Loved reading it.

I have been there and it is always thrilling when we gain something in life, until we know the other side of the fence...Good Luck to you...
