A Toll On Life Poem by Gwen Mathers

A Toll On Life

Childish dreams I can only imagine

Growing up had its own fashion

Shake upon death, smile when I wake

Turn away from all the many mistakes

Cold was the heart placed in my hand

Solid but limp, Fragile as steel, And

Farther away there shines a light

Stolen innocence out of pure spite
