i hold your hand
i tried

at least for now
i am here
i am with you
by your side
fear no more
what only i can give
is a simple touch
and humming grace
of gratitude
for the moments
'hmmm-hmmm-hmm'
no words are needed
for we speak beyond that
we shared it long before
and now lay still
