A Tribute Of The Dismissed Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

A Tribute Of The Dismissed

Twisted and tortured till dawn
The blood drips from the knife
The silence of death is drawn
As I simply suffocate your life
Did you think you could betray me
Did you think that you’d get away
Did you think my eyes were blinded
And that I couldn’t see
You are the one who is feeling dismay
So here I sit alone again
Wondering what will happen next
Perhaps I’ll acquire my mask and play pretend
Or perhaps place on you a hex
So tired of fighting constantly
I don’t know why I care
Your always turning your back to me
I don’t think you were ever there
So why do I still fight this
Why do you still haunt me
I can’t quite place what I miss
But why wont’ it let me be
This war was ended years ago
Yet here I stand unbroken
Weighing all my options and sulking in sorrow
Have my words been unspoken
Has my heart been dismissed
Do you mock me from the distance
I can’t quite place what’s amiss
Do you even acknowledge my existence
