A True Friend Poem by Paul Sebastian

A True Friend

Rating: 5.0

A friend for every moment of the day
A friend with embracing smile, heart's joy ray
A friend who's there in time of need
A friend who plods you to succeed
A friend who is real and dear to me
A friend who cajoles and pushes my best to be
A friend whom I shudder and tremble to lose
A friend without I am lost!
A friend I would treasure at any cost
A friend whether up or down I'd care
A friend in time of need I'd be there
A friend whose fire burns bright and strong
A friend warms one out in the cold so long
A friend who cares
A friend who shares
A friend who dares
A friend …who lives for all eternity

A person who has a true friend is very fortunate. Your poem outlines the qualities a true friend has and in your poem the line 'A friend in time of need I'd be there' shows the reader that it is reciprocal. I enjoyed your lovely poem Paul. thank you. 'Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light' (Helen Keller)

Good friends are very hard to find. You can count them on one hand. Good details on friendship.
