This I dedicate to a friend I love so dearly
Whose sincerity is engraved in serenity
It is for you, for it’s in you
I found a friendship so true

The hand of friendship you offered
Has created wonders in my life
And your spirit has encouraged me to strive
The warm smile has eased my sorrow
During the days when I feel so low

Thank you for being so true
And for lifting me up when I’m blue
It’s with you I never feel solitary

Never have I thanked you
For the shoulders you lent me
For the comforting words that gave me strength
For your presence in the long night hours

Never have I thanked you
For being simply like you are now

It is for you, dearest friend
