A True Friend 'You' Poem by Dr Anish Mathew John

A True Friend 'You'

Pal you are, your shoulders strong
A bolster strong, my head to rest
To console, to pat, to give a hug
You’re always there an all life mate.

All alone I lived a child
Hide and seek, I played it lone
Never I knew the strength of two
And love so full before we met.

Beacon you are, you're full of life
And life you have that’s full of love
To share a smile, to share a cry
You're always there with arms all stretched.

Often I fumble, falter and foil
With hopes all lost and knees all weak
Strength that flows from you all time
Wakes me up to start life fresh.

Thank you pal, a word very short
For greatness shown in word and deed
Grateful am I to God for you
A great friend true this life all full.
