A True Love

A True Love

I am a true love
I don't take what I find but
I give what I have

I am a true love
I love love's love for its love's love

I am a true love
I am willing to be hurt just to keep the love on
and I will be the father of your thousands of children

I am a true love
my tears my promise
my life my gift
and my patience will be loyal to stand by you

I am a true love
who can bring love till the end of life
who can smile while crying

I am a true love
walking thru the rain
giving shelter while dying

I am your true love
will you marry me?

Poem of the Day

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
