A Truthful Story Poem by Michael P. Johnson

A Truthful Story

I wish to speak of a Saviour
About a sensational bride
Of most selfish, dreadful behaviour
For which a Bridegroom died

Pay heed my outstanding story
This tale amazingly true
Of outrageousness and glory
Of my God, myself, and you

As a shameful individual
Doing gross loathsome deeds
Consistent quite residual
This garden plagued with weeds

Till life's Husbandman appeared
With unknown love and grace
Removing things long revered
He occupied the space

Of my living God I'm speaking
Things I once sought to hide
That others I pray through seeking
Heaven, will build inside

Will you my friend be one of these?
Will you bid righteousness dwell
Faithful bending to Christ your knees
To flee from death and hell

If yet doubt remains abiding
Take the bible in your hand
Soon my God will be providing
Wisdom to understand

Take these words God's servants written
Life's facts and truths I give
When like me with obstacles smitten
Forever with God you'll live.....
