' A Wage On Words... ' Poem by MoonBee Canady

' A Wage On Words... '

Rating: 2.6

I Put A Wage On Words
I Make Sure You Get The Value-Heard
I’ll Leave No Stone Unturned
I’ll Leave No Kindle Unburned

That Is My Literary Style
Whether I Write A Minute, Or A Mile
Yeah, Sometimes Less Is More
… More Oft, I Have To Explore …

… Every Conceivable Angle
Or Let A Thought Just Dangle …
Every Twist & Turn Of A Phrase
I Will Make Love To A Page!

‘Til I’ve Exhausted Every Idea
And Made Meaning Crystal Clear
If My Stones Take Too Long Sculpted
Don’t Look, I Won’t Be Insulted

Now, I Too, Love Short & Sweet
Connoisseur Dessert, Is Such A Treat
But When I’m Ready To Eat …
Let My Teeth and Tongue Find Meat!

Savoring, With Intensity
Sharing Expensive Homily
A Commonwealth From Honeycomb
I Am MoonBee … I Don’t Drone

In My Mental-Exchange Economy
My Writes Are Wall-Street Autonomy
If I Got A Penny For My Thoughts
I’d Be The Trillionaire … (Money Talks)

So My Words, Are A Collected Wage
If You’re Not Worth It … I Don’t Waste
And If My Words Are Being Appraised
The Cost Of Speaking … Just Got Raised
