A Walk Through Time Poem by Katherine Graven

A Walk Through Time

Rating: 5.0

The other day I made my way
Into my lost memories of you
I found the place that I had hidden
Because of the pain of loosing you
We walked thought rolling meadows
Swam in the warm waters of love
To only learn the hard life’s lessons
When I had to give you up

We would talk for many hours
Under the weeping willow tree
Where you made lasting promises
And your lips first kissed me
You gazed into my eyes
And we knew it then
Even in death our love would never end…

I lost you one spring morning
As the sun began to rise
The dew was glistening on the daisies
As you wiped the tears from my eyes
You swore to always love me and this will not be our last good-bye
For you will always hold memories of our undying love

For I never knew until you
How true love could ever be
So I will take this lonely walk through time
Remembering your love for me
So I’m waiting for that day to come
So I can be with my undying love

So here I go again
Taking the walk though time
Blinded by the memories of our undying love.
For it just seems like yesterday when we said good-bye
I will forever be blinded by memories of our undying love
