A Wanderer Of Wonder Poem by Navdeep Kaur

A Wanderer Of Wonder

Rating: 5.0

I love the moon, the ocean and the rivers.
I love the moon reflected in them, the serenity of the moonlight.
I love the stars, the rain and the cloudy sky,
I love rainstorms and thunderstorms.
I love the ocean waves calm and gentle,
Softly humming and rocking to the rhythm of the night.
I love the ocean waves loud and roaring with an unforgiving ferocity
Orchestrating a symphony of the seas.
I love the wild jungle, and nature untamed
I love the smell of the leaves covered with dew
It is intoxicating, Almost as intoxicating as the earthy smell of the rain forest.
I love to be kissed by the breeze, Be blown away by the high wind and be stabbed by the heavy raindrops,
All at once, Nature's temperament matching my own.
And at night, when the only sounds you hear are the sounds of the singing crickets,
I love to lie on the roof and gaze longingly at the stars, Listen to them twinkling and not think about anything at all, Carrying in my heart a wish that I could be one with nature

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this while having my lunch in an outdoor cafe during a rainstorm.I was in a reflective mood, and feeling very inspired by Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Andy Williams' Moon River. This poem is narrated to those songs :)
