A Warm And Tender Glow Poem by Linda Harnett

A Warm And Tender Glow

Rating: 2.8

I still can feel the warm sun on my skin,
A gentle breeze to calm my fevered brow,
It somehow fails to cool the warmth within,
That feeling still remains with me, and how,

And barefoot, walking on fine silver sand,
Feet slowing sinking covering my toes,
My cares all left behind, I understand,
I’m just someone that no one really knows,

A part of me set free on lonely beach,
The part that rides white horses on the shore,
I’m happy just to know I’m out of reach,
And for a time I couldn’t ask for more,

I sat a while and watched the sun sink low,
It bathed me in a warm and tender glow.
