A Waste Poem by Lizzie Resendiz

A Waste

Rating: 2.5

Tears streaming down my face
My life a complete waste
A waste of Blood
A waste of Air
A waste of Skin
I try to stand and be strong
but my minds wondering on its own
Thoughts of suicide flood my head
all i want is to be dead
My life a complete waste
A waste of blood, air, and skin
I look around this empty room
through the corner of my eye, I see a knife
but should i really take my own life
(yes) so i grab the knife
My life a complete waste
a waste of blood, air, and skin
hoping this will be my end
I drag the knife across my arm
all i can think of is doing myself more harm
as i lye there bleeding i begin to think
My life is a complete waste
A waste of blood
A waste of air
A waste of skin
Thankfully this is my end

even if you do not consider suicide and cutting yourself this poem has powerful emotions. 'A waste of blood, air, and skin' no one is a waste. well written
