A Waste...Too Poem by Ghi Palmares

A Waste...Too

Rating: 3.0

Lost, like a wind without direction,
In the vast horizon,
Caught amidst all the rejections.

Alone, like lightning on a summer sky,
As the thunder roars by,
Silence breaks its lonesome cry.

Hopeless, like rain pouring to the sea,
As the tides came to be,
Swept away back to its misery.

Exhausted, like a warrior in a useless battle,
An unseen enemy to tackle,
Surrendering to an endless cycle.

I am lost, alone, hopeless, and exhausted.
All worn out, from this tedious struggle.
When everything else has been tried and tested,
Down to the ground, I stumble and crumble.

My time has come, the end is near.
No battle has been won, the struggle stops here.
And now it's time to leave all the troubles behind,
Bid goodbye to the past that has been too unkind.
