'A Whisper' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'A Whisper'

Rating: 3.5

'Hearts drunk in Love,
A whisper between the lovers,
At the silence of the night..'

I take the call,
The cold in the fall,
A voiceless on the line,
Telling me 'you are mine'
-A whisper.

So strong my heart beats,
I love the way you treat me,
From somewhere in your heart,
This soundless on my ears
-A whisper.

In you I've hidden my fear,
From my eyes a single tear,
That I cry when I'm alone, my dear
When I remind our love
in the silence of the night
-A whisper.

Your gentle words full of love
You say all the things I adore,
Stay with me, I implore
This sweet air sailing in my feelings
-A whisper.

Such a beautiful poem. Reminds me of the poetry my mother used to write.

Beautiful, the way you repeat 'A whisper' connects the poem and adds a sort of ominous and secretiveness to it.
