A White Flame

I can feel a flame inside me
but not just any flame
a white one

It is fead by
the love, the compasion,
and everything that is to be considered good

I can feel a flame inside me
but not just any flame
a flame that heals

It is healing
all the holes in my heart
all the pain, all the agony

I can feel a flame inside me
but not just any flame
a flame that I hope will never end

A flame that I hope
will keep on going
in every sole
that will be passed down
from generation to generation

I can feel a white flame
of hope

I thought the white flame would be love, so I was surprised to see hope. In a good way.

    Good job. (Report) Reply

Hi Ivette Angel - This is a lovely poem with a lovely theme - A White Flame of Hope. V 1 & 2. It is great to have a flame of love and compassion burning inside you, V 3 & 4 It is not just any Flame - Ivette - It is your own personal flame a HEALING FLAME that can heal a broken heart and take away all your pain and agony - it is a cleansing flame. V 5 I am glad you feel the Flame and (V 6) feel that - like an Olympic Torch - it can be passed from Soul to Soul and Generation to Generation. V 7 'I can feel a white Flame of Hope' - AWESOME. I score it TEN. Love you lots in Poetry - JOHN X (Report) Reply

To war and arms I fly.

True, a new mistress now I chase,
