A Winter`s Verse Poem by Leanne G

It is a cold winter’s day,
Ice snow like sparking crystal,
It is cold on Christmas day,
People shiver in the darkness,
Children play on skidded ice,
All around the snow is falling,
There were children making snowmen,
There were children having snowball fights,
The trees were green,
Now they are white,
The ponds are frozen over,
So you have to break the ice,
For the ducks and swans
What a lovely day it is today
