A Wish

I want to count all the stars in the sky
And watch the meteors fly on by

Then take a trip to the water side
And walk the shore at the ebbing tide

Dance and sing in the pouring rain
Then chase the butterflies again

Hike a valley in the morning dew
And wade across a creek or two

But if I could have just one wish
I would ask of my love a single kiss

Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
